5 tips to deal with Pregnancy Related Hemorrhoids.
Will pregnancy related hemorrhoids go away? The short answer.. nope! What a bummer right? I mean you can have them surgically removed but that is the only way they will ever be completely gone. But if you opt out of the surgical route, rest assured that you can get relief in other ways. For my top 5 tips on coping with pregnancy-related hemorrhoids keep reading.
Message Them Away
Did you know you can manually massage a hemorrhoid? I didn’t when I first got one either. It sounds gross but when you are sitting on the porcelain throne just reach down and push it back in if you can. But if they are too large I push in then gently massage it. Sometimes the tissue there can get very firm and if it does it will take a whole lot longer for it to heal so a gentle massage can go a long way.
Avoid warm baths
I thought a warm bath would make it feel so much better and it did for just a second but I found that the heat made the swelling worse. So I would stick to taking showers when hemorrhoids are at their worst. You probably wouldn’t want to sit on the hard tub bottoms very long anyway but just in case you were curious just stick to the shower.
Increases your water intake.
I know you hear that all the time but you still aren’t doing it most likely so I’m going to tell you again. Double your water intake when hemorrhoids are flaring. This tip is so valuable for your overall health, but especially for pregnancy related hemorrhoids.
