I travel a lot for work and pleasure, and I always take at least one carry on. The things you absolutely must-have in your purse on a plane include:
Blanket-
I always regret it when I don’t pack a blanket. Some airlines will include a blanket with your seat. But many are no longer providing complimentary blankets. It doesn’t have to be large or extra fluffy. But trust me you will NEVER regret having a blanket in your carry on. You will be surprised how cold an airplane can get.
Credit card-
There was once a time that meals were included when you purchased a business class ticket. Not any more honey! And flight attendants don’t take cash. So bring your credit card just in case you want more to eat then pretzels. Normally your credit card is in your purse any way when you are on a plane, but be willing to drop 5 to 10 dollars in flight if you get the itch for a little snack.
Ear Phones- (AND NOT THE WIRELESS KIND)
I made the mistake on my last flight to bring my Bluetooth headphones and when the girl next to make talked my ear off I so regretted it. About halfway through the flight I just put them on my ears anyway. I am so glad that universal language for “stop talking to me” is the motion of putting something in your ears. And earphones even wireless ones are way more polite then earplugs. But if you must… earplugs will totally do the trick also.
Camera with timelapse-
Okay, so this one is for all my Insta stars. One of my favorite videos to capture on a flight when I am on the window is a timelapse. Start recording the moment the plane starts moving and end it when you have been in the sky for at least 45 seconds. Trust me it’s such a cool shot. I always add this video to my stories when I travel. To me, it’s such a cool vibe and makes followers feel like they are going with us. Most cell phones have this feature. My GoPro also does a great job at this. But do it!!!
Something to “read”-
even if it’s a magazine! Put some knowledge in your brain girl. I am always amazed at how much inspiration and motivation I can get from a good book or magazine.
Snacks-
My favorite snacks to bring are the ones that won’t melt in the drastic temperature changes of entering and exiting an airport. I do opt for skittles or M&Ms, they fit easily in my purse and if I am feeling a bit adventurous I will get chocolate covered pretzels. But the chocolate is a risk since it most often melts before I can really enjoy them on the plane.
I hope this list was helpful. These are my go-to items for what to take in a purse on a plane.
