My family and I have been going to the fair for almost 20 years so I feel like a local expert on things to do at the Fresno Fair.
Rides
Insider Tip! Get there early! The rides are very popular later in the day! We arrived around 11 am on a Saturday and had ZERO lines! It’s our habit to get there early… ride as many rides as possible then eat and visit exhibits. Rides are one of our favorite things to do at the Fresno Fair
Food
Lunch time isn’t too bad at the Fresno Fair. And later night isn’t too bad either. But it feels like all of Fresno County goes to the fair about 5 – 7 pm to grab dinner. Skip the lines by eating around 1 pm or 8 pm. You will thank me later for sure!
Exhibits
I could visit the fair every day it’s open and still not see all the exhibits. This year we opted to see the produce exhibits. I love to see the incredible agriculture on display all in one place. It reminds me why we all Fresno County the breadbasket of the world! Another one of our favorite things to do at the Fresno Fair is to visit the kid’s exhibit right across from the animals. Last year they had a station that passed out bug samples. My kids were soo grossed out when I ate a mouthful of bugs, but it was sooo fun!
Schedule
You can check to see what events are happening by visiting the website before you go. There is always something fun to do at the Fresno Fair, and you won’t want to miss out on all the activities. You can also grab a list of activities for the day at the information booth. We were lucky enough to catch the transformers, pig races, and jugglers. Next time I go I do want to see the FFA fashion show where students hand-make outfits for themselves and their sheep.
Concert
We didn’t catch a concert this year, but last year we went to see Salt N Peppa. And had THE best time! I love that there are concerts to attend for every genre. Tickets can be purchased online or at the fair once you have entered with general admission.
